RED UNIONS MAY CUT ADRIFT FROM A.L.P.

(10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 15. Several Communist - dominated unions are expected to withdraw or reduce support of the Australian Labour I’arly because of the anticommunist decisions of the State Labour Conference on Sunday. The unions affected are the Ironworkers’ Union and Building Workers’ Industrial Union, the representatives of which walked out of the conference. A Melbourne report says that the Queensland Labour executive will propose to the next Labour Party Federal conference that the Communist Party should be banned as subversive and that Communists should be debarred from employment in Government services.
