(P.A.) PAHIATUA. June 14. A five-year-old boy of Rakanui, 32 miles from Pahiatua. was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital as a positive case of polio.

TWO CASES IN TARANAKI (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 15. Two more positive cases of poliomyelitis were reported at New Plymouth yesterday. One is a woman who was admitted to hospital as a suspect on Friday and the other is a girl, aged 18 months. There have been 77 cases in Taranaki since November. Two patients have died and 22 remain in hospital.

ANOTHER SCHOOL CLOSED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 14. The Johnsonville Public School has been closed as from today as a precautionary measure following the admission to hospital on Friday of a girl pupil as a suspected ease of poliomyelitis. The diagnosis had not been confirmed this morning.
