INCREASE IN MEAT SCHEDULES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 14. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that meat schedules in the North Island have been increased from today by one-eighth pence for lambs, wethers and ewes. The increases are accounted for by increased wool growth. The schedules operating as from today are as follows: Lambs- —Prime crossbred, 20 to 361 b, 12 5-8 d; 37 to 421 b. 12 l-8d; 43 to 501 b. 11 5-8 d; 51 to 561 b, 11 l-Bd. Prime ’Downs: 20 to 361 b, 12 7-8 d; 37 to 421 b, 12 3-8 d; 43 to 501 b, 11 7-3 d: 51 to 561 b, 11 3-Bd. All seconds: 20 to 421 b, 11 5-8 d: 43 to 501 b, 10 7-Bd. Wethers. —Prime: 481 b and under. Bijd: 49 to 641 b. 81d: 65 to 901 b, 45s 4d each. Seconds: 641 b and under, 8d: 65 to 901 b, 42s 8d each. Ewes.—64lb and under, 6}d; 65 to 901 b, 33s 4d each.
