BIENNIAL ELECTION OF H.B. EDUCATION BOARD

The biennial election to fill vacancies on the Hawke’s Bay Education Board will take place on July 21 next, when an election extraordinary in the Middle Ward will also be necessitated owing to the resignation of the sitting member. Mr. W. Tucker. The six sitting members who will seek re-election are the chairman, Mr. G. A. Maddison. the deputy-chairman, Mr. W. Cuthbertson, and Messrs. F. A. Fararn, A. H. Sivewright. J. T. Hill and L. F. Mills. These members represent the Hastings Urban, South, North, Middle, Gisborne Urban and Napier Urban Wards respectively. Nominations close on June 30. Those entitled to vote are members of school committees in the board’s area. The election is to be by postal vote.
