CYCLE RACING STANDARD DECLINE
(P.A) WELLINGTON, June 11. Cycle racing during the past year was well below the pre-war standard, said the chairman of the New Zealand Amateur Cycling Association, Mr. P. N. Robinson, in a report to today’s annual meeting of the association. He said the added incentive of the Olympic Games had not, with one or two exceptions, raised the general standard of racing. The venue of this year’s Dominion road cycling championship was allocated to the West Coast (North Island). Mr. Robinson (Wellington) was reelected president.
