PRESIDENT’S TROPHY PLAY DRAW FOR TWO ROUNDS The Wairoa Golf Club's first medal round of the season was played under ideal conditions. Some of the best scores returned were:—M. P. Baird. 78, 14 64; R. For the president's trophies the draw is:— First Round.—West and Bauld, jun., v. Bauld, sen., and Howard; A. E. Smith and Johnston v. Heslop and Crarer; Wilson and Handyside v. Haynes and Thomson; Dunlop and Forsyth v. Graham and Mann; Krogh and McCaskill v. Mowat and Mouat; Beedell and Parkhill v. Smith and Smith: Baird and Tor.kinson v. Graham and Mac Kay; Duley and Trcvvby v. deLautour and McCrea.
Second Hound.—Osier and Muir v. Prebbl: and Scott; Watson and Elwin v. Farrell and Hill; Sainsbury and Thorne George v. Brown and Caustone; Jelbert and Goldstpne v. Kawhe and Winitana.
The first round is to be completed tomorrow and the second by May 8.
The Moore Tikis changed hands after a fighting finish, the holders, Heslop and Krogh, being beaten by Jelbert and Goldstone.
The Top Dog buttons have also made an early change of lapels, Muir and Trewby passing over to Thomson and Sainsbury.
