3 PRISONERS ESCAPE
STILL AT LIBERTY TODAY DESCRIPTIONS ISSUED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 15. Three men escaped from the Waikune prison during the week-end and were still at liberty this morning. Two of them disappeared on Saturday afternoon. They are Norman lan McEwen, aged 20, fair hair, blue eyes, height sft. 9Jin., and Jack Pene, aged 24, a quarter-caste Maori, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes, height sft. lOin. Both men are of strong build and may be wearing prison clothes and new white trousers. It is also possible that they are wearing sports trousers and grey sports coats. The third man escaped yesterday. He was Norman Rupert Cottle, aged 32, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, thick nose, height sft. Bim, scar above left eye and others .on forehead and nose. He is thought to be wearing prison garb.
