DANISH S.A. OFFICERS

V SERVICE IN INDIA VISIT TO DOMINION XP.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. A Danish Salvation Army officer and his wife who arrived from Sydney by the Wahine this morning will settle in New Zealand. “New Zealand took our daughter and will have to take us,’’ said Brigadier M. Arnland. The story behind that remark is that their daughter met and married a Lower Hutt Flight-lieutenant serving on the Arakan front during the war when the Arnlands were stationed at Calcutta where they have been for the past 25 years.

Both son-in-law and daughter now hold the rank of captain in the Salvation Army in Dunedin and the Arnlands are travelling south on a six months’ visit' to see them. They are to return to India for a further five years of service before coming back to New Zealand for good. /
