SMALL BOY DROWNED
FALL FROM FOOTBRIDGE (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 16. A six-year-old boy was drowned in the Invercargill Estuary, near the Stead street bridge, yesterday afternoon. He was Gilbert Allan Turnbull, son of Mr. A. M. Turnbull, Invercargill. The child had been playing with two young companions on the footbridge between the traffic bridge and the Invercargill Boating Club’s slipway and evidently fell into the water.
