SOUTHLAND EXEMPTED
USE OF FROZEN MEAT (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 30. According to advice received from the food controller, the instruction to butchers to use 10 per cent frozen meat in the weekly quota in the South Island will not in future apply to Southland. It was reported at a meeting of the Master Butchers’ Association that the controller had'been informed .that u.e quality of frozen meat in store in boutnland was not up to the standard required by*the trade and the controllei has agreed to waive the instruction.
