CROWDS ATTEND FUNERAL (11.30 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, April 30. A quarter of Denmark’s population lined the streets of Copenhagen for the funeral of the late King Christian. The coffin was carried on a horsedrawn hearse to Roskilde Cathedral and was followed by the King’s favourite horse. Then came King Fredcrik IX, King Haakon of Norway, Crown Prince Gustav of Sweden, and M. Sveinn Sjoernso, President of Iceland. ‘The Duke of Beaufort represented the British Royal Family, the United States Ambassador represented President Truman, the Russian Ambassador attended for Russia, and General Koenig represented France.
