MAY VISIT OLYMPIAD

N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM INT ERNATIONAL TOURNEY (P.A ) CHRISTCHURCH. April 30. The New Zealand Hockey Association is now trying to send a team to the Olympic Games the president. Mr H. S. J. Goodman, told delegates at the annua! meeting of the association last evening. It is expected that 10 or lit nations will compete and hockev will be held over a period of three days in August, with the fiiial on August 19. It was a long trip for three days' play but it was suggested that the team could play in Denmark, Belgium, and France, he said. Mr Goodman said there would bo no international tour this year. Officers were elected as follows: — Patron Sir Bernard Freyberg; president. Mr JI. S. .1. Goodman. Treasurer. Mr P. N. Quartcrmain: auditor. Mr A. Stewart: executive. Messrs 11. Thorp. P. Grade. K. Hamilton. \V. Williamson, C. Ballamy, E. Cummins and C. A. Rogers.
