SPECIAL TASMAN TRIP

SKYMASTER CHARTERED (P.A. 1 AUCKLAND, April .90. To bring to Auckland a number of passengers awaiting transport in Sydney. Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd. will operate a special round trip from Sydney to Auckland and back by a Skymaster aircraft this week. the aircraft will leave Sydney at 2 a.m. on Friday. New Zealand time, and is due at Whenunpai about OJ hours later. The machine, which is chartered from Trans-Australia Airlines and can carry 42 people, will leave again for Sydney the same day. The occasion will be the second on which Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., has augmented its daily flying-boat service with special flights by a Skymaster aircraft. Between February 24 and 26 services were operated to bring to New Zealand 58 servicemen stranded ui Australia. Some civilians were also carried, and on the return flights accommodation was allocated to civilian passengers.
