NO APPLE CARGOES
BRITISH_ORDER MEAT FIRST PRIORITY SHORTAGE OF SHIPPING (P.A.) NELSON. April 23. As a result of advice received by the New Zealand Government from the British Ministry of Food no apples will be exported to Britain this season. It had recently been arranged lo send 50.000 cases. The British Ministry of Food has advised the overseas shipping allotment committee that owing to the urgency for meat shipments, it regretted that no shipments of fruit could not be made The Internal Marketing Division has now notified growers lo cease packing stunners for export and to revert to the local market pack.
