MERGER SUGGESTED
,U.S. LABOUR FACTIONS CONFERENCE PROPOSED NEW YORK, April 22. After a meeting of the American Federation of Labour executive council which had discussed the prospective sharp restrictions on labour union activities now before Congress, the president of the A.F.L.. Mr William Green, invited the Congress of Industrial Organisations’ unity committee to a conference in Washington on May 24 to discuss a merger of the two labour organisations.
