FAST AIR SERVICE

BRITAIN TO AUSTRALIA

65-HOUR MAIL JOURNEYS

STARTING IN DECEMBER (10 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 25

Journeys of 44 hours from Singapore to London and 21 hours from Singapore to Sydney are expected to become commonplace of peace-time travel in December when Qantas and British Overseas Airways Corporation aircraft operate in the British-Australian mail service.

At Singanore there will be three services weekly in each direction, primarily mail, but with sleeping bunks for six passengers, first with Lancastrians, and later with Avro Tudors. British Overseas Airways Corporation is also starting a Singapore-Southamp-ton service of five days with Sunderland flying-boats next month.
