LONDON’S DANGER
ATOM BOMB WAR
WILL CEASE TO EXIST
SCIENTIST'S WARNING
(11 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 25. Britain will enter any future war with the certainty that if a single atomic bomb fell in or near London then London woul l cease to exist, declared Professor Oliphant, leader of the British scientists who. helped to produce the bomb.
It was nonsense to suggest that there was any counter weapon, he said. The bomb secret should be thrown completely open and all nations alike should share it. He added that seven or eight different methods of producing atomic energy had been discovered, four of which were developed. Other methods would be discovered before long.
