WHEAT CROP LOSSES
DROUGHT IN YUGOSLAVIA DISTRIBUTION CONTROLLED BELGRADE. Sept. 2. An unprecedented drought has halved Yugoslavia’s harvest compared with pre-war years. It has partially or entirely destroyed crops in Macedonia, Montenegro Bosnia and Herzegovina and some areas of Croatia. The Government has taken over all wheat from districts producing a surplus and distributing it equally among the threatened regions which have chiefly contributed to the liberation of Y ugoslavia.
