N.Z. EX-CAPTIVES

600 IN BRITAIN MOST SAIL THIS MONTH SHIPLOAD ON WAY (Special Correspondent.) (Noon) LONDON, Sept. 3. The number of former N.Z.E.F. prisoners of war now remaining in England totals roughly 600. This includes 96 hospital cases, many of whom are cases of normal sickness and also men on educational attachments. The majority will leave for New Zealand some time this month. Those remaining will complete their educational courses. The name of the ship and the date of sailing is not yet known.

Six hundred former prisoners of war sailed for home last week in the Dominion Monarch. Both the Fcrnleaf and New Zealand Forces Club in London are to remain in operation until practically all the New Zealanders in Britain a're repatriated.

Although few soldiers remain here there is a substantial number of airmen and sailors who will continue to be catered for.
