NO INCREASE SHOWN
WARTIME PRICE INDEX
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July IG. The Gazette last night contained a notice by the Government Statistician that the wartime price index as at June 15, 1943 (on the basis of December 15, 1942, equals 1000), was 1000. This figure indicates that, after seasonal adjustments had been made in respect of certain commodities the prices of which are subject to seasonal movement, the general level of prices of commodities included in the wartime price index was the same at June 15, 1943, as at December 15, 1942.
