SHEEP VALUES DECLINE WESTFIELD MARKET (P.A.I AUCKLAND, May 13. At the Westfield stock sale yesterday there was a bis entry of beef. Competition throughout was keen and a very firm sale resulted for all classes. There was a big entry of mutton and although competition was steady the offering proved more than equal to requirements, resulting in a drop in values for all classes. Runners made £5 to £7 17s Gd; heavy vealers, £4 15s to £5 IGs; medium, £3 15s to £4 10s; light, £2 15s to £3 10s; small, £1 5s to £1 10s; unfinished and bucket fed, 15s to £1 10s; hobby and rough, 5s to ISs. A medium entry of baconers sold at recent rates while porker prices firmed. Values for stores and weaners showed a sharp rise. Choppers made £2 to £G 11s, according to weight; heavy baconers, £4 8s to £4 15s; medium, £4 to'£4 4s; light, £3 9s to £3 14s; heavy porkers, £2 18s to £3 Gs; medium, £2 12s to £2 17s; light, £2 7s to £2 10s; small and unfinished, £1 10s! to £2; stores, £1 Gs to £2 4s; slips, 16a to £1 2s; weaners, 11s to 15s.
