U.S. SEAMAN’S ORDEAL
SOLE SURVIVOR OF 20 MEN
(10 a.m.) NEW YORK. Feb. 3. Although too weak to give a coherent account, Mr. William Collon, an American seaman, - who was rescued after 76 days in an open lifeboat, said the Ship was torpedoed off West Africa. The lifeboat originally carried 20. of whom 15 died before their rescue and four died aboard the ship which took Mr. Collon to Trinidad.
