REPAIRS TO BRIDGES

FIVE AT WAINGAKF. Reporting to the Cook County Council meVng to-day. the acting county engineer, Mr. J. Gunn, stated that work had commenced on repairs to bridges on the Waingakc road. “There are five bridges on this road which require extensive repairs,” the report stated. “Nearly all of the timber needed for this work was paid for last year and is on the respective sites. “During fhe past month rain has had the effect of pot-holing many gravel roads on the flats, but very-little slipping has taken place on the back roads.”
