ANGLO-RUSSIAN PLANS MISGIVINGS RELIEVED (Reed. Aug. 18, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 17. The Turkish reaction to the AngloRussian declaration is one oi restrained pleasure, says the Ankara correspondent of The Times. The Turks realise that the declaration removes any misgivings they may have entertained concerning Russian plans towards them.

The Turkish press is taking pains to make it clear that Turkey is not adopting any course which could be interpreted as hostility towards Germany.
