WARNINGS TO IRAN
BRITAIN AND RUSSIA “FIFTH COLUMN” PERIL (Reed. Aug. 18, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 17. Reports continue that Britain and Russia have sent strongly-worded notes to Iran, drawing attention to the danger if the Nazi “fifth eoluminists” are allowed to continue their activities in Iran. The notes do not represent an ultimatum, but point out that dangers to which the Iran Government may be prepared to shut its eyes also vitally affect Britain and Russia, who, therefore, are taking more than an academic interest in the matter.
