N.Z. CONVERSION LOAN

ENCOURAGING RESULTS

£14,300,000 APPLIED FOR

(Per Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, this day

Interviewed to-day regarding the Government conversion loan, the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash said the results were very encouraging. The applications received to date totalled £14,300,000, out of a total of £21,250.000 of securities affected.

No doubt, said Mr. Nash, many people with parcels of securities affected by the conversion have not yet completed their forms and sent them, but as the offer would close on June 14 they would be wise to give it immediate consideration.

Mr. Nash said the offer required to be accepted by completing the application form otherwise persons holding any of the stocks affected would be repaid in cash on July 15, August 15 or September 15 next in accordance with the notice already given in the Gazette.
