N.Z. FORCES OVERSEAS
NEW PROMOTIONS DISTRICT INTEREST The latest issue of the Gazette contains notice of the following appointments of district interest in the New Zealand military forces overseas:— Captain J. W. Bain is granted the temporary rank of major; dated June 29, 1940. Lieutenant K. R. S. Crarer is granted the temporary rank of captain; dated June 30, 1940. The undermentioned second lieutenant is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant to complete establishment: K. G.- Scott. Lieutenant J. H. Danderson is granted the temporary rank of captain while performing the duties of quartermaster; dated July 20, 1940. Other promotions of district interest in the forces in New Zealand include the appointment of Lieutenant (temporary captain) D. P. Lindsay, Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be captain on the New Zealand temporary staff; dated January 27, 1941. Lieutenant A. M. Gunn, M. 8., Ch.B., is seconded to the Royal New Zealand Air Force; dated November 27, 1940.
