HUNTLY MYSTERY

NO FURTHER LIGHT MARKS FOUND ON GROUND No further light has been shed upon the circumstances of the death of the Indian labourer, Rama Khushal, in the swamp near his shack on the riverbank <at Huntly West last Saturday. Under Detective-Sergeant P. J. Nalder, detectives and uniform officers have sought information which might help to clear the mystery, hut so far they have met with little success. The police thoroughly examined IChushal’s shack, which bore no evidence of a struggle, but marks on the ground about 50ft. from the swamp suggested the Indian might have been dragged by his assailant from the place where congealed blood was found to the swampy, shallow pool of water where he apparently was drowned. • The weapon which caused a number of facial injuries and the loss of eight teeth is still missing.
