Dr. Bonar Lindsay, a well-known gynaecologist, formely of Christchurch, is at present on furlough in New Zealand. He is stationed at Kalain, Pachar, India, where he is district medical officer.

Mr. John Ward, who for the past 15 years has been associated with the Auckland office of Ross and Glendining, Limited, chiefly as assist-ant-manager, has gone to the head office in Dunedin to take up the position of secretary there. Mr. A. V/. Jeavons, who has held the position of secretary, for the past 17 years, and has also been a director of the company since 1932, has been appointed managing-director, Mr. ,1. R. Elsbury, State placement officer, Auckland, has been accepted for overseas military service with the rank of captain and has embarked on a refresher course at Narrow Neck. In the Great War he served with a commission in the Australian Imperial Forces.
