TRAINS CURTAILED
COAL STRIKE SEQUEL STEEL WORKERS DISMISSED (Reed. March 28, 2.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 28. Two hundred more men have been dismissed from the Broken Hill Proprietary’s steelworks at Newcastle as a result of the coal strike. Because the railways have only a few weeks’ supply of coal train services in Victoria have been curtailed and surburban services have been reduced by half except in peak periods. The Saturday and Sunday expresses to Adelaide have been cancelled. Some of the poorly patronised services in Queensland have been cancelled and others have been curtailed.
