NEARLY £B,OOO TOTAL DOMINION RESPONSE GOVERNOR’S APPEAL (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Since last week donations to the National Patriotic Fund Board other than contributions of under £5 received through the postal seal campaign have increased by more than £IOOO. the total now being £7986 16s 6d. The latest list of contributions in response to the Governor-General s appeal for funds includes donations of £250 from the South British Insurance Company, £2OO each from Pyne, Gould, Guiness, Limited, the Bank of Australasia, Limited, and the Union Bank of Australia, Limited, £IOO from James Smith, Limited, £SO from Wardell Bros., and also some substantial contributions from individual citizens.
