NEW EIRE POWERS DAIL GIVES AUTHORITY DE VALERA'S WARNING (Reed. Jan. 5. Noon.) LONDON, Jan. 4. The emergency session of the Dail at Dublin passed by 92 votes to 10 the second reading of the Emergency Powers Bill sponsored by the Eire Minister of Lands, Mr. G. Boland, authorising the internment of suspected persons without trial. The Dail finally passed the bill by 82 votes to nine and it was sent to the Senate Mr. Bdland told the Dail that captured terrorists would be held regardiess of hunger strikes. The Eire Prime Minister, Mr. E. de Valera, replying to the debate in the Dail, said: "Everyone .knows that armed men are at large who generally do not want to recognise the constitution and are ready to use arms whenever it suits them. They are prepared to embroil Eire with her neighbours. The Irish people have given the Government the sole power of determining how national policy is to be prosecuted.”
