YOUNG FARMERS' CLUB (lli'i-iild Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Young Farmers’ Ciub was held in the Takapu Hall this week, Mr. M. Robinson being in the chair. It was arranged that papers for tiro next meeting would be supplied by Messrs. S. Smith, T. Craill, and O. James, jun. Mr. Matheson gave an interesting address on banking and what it meant to young farmers. Farewell Party A most enjoyable evening was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. Lincoln to bid farewell to Mr. B. Ellis, who is leaving the district to join the special force at Trentham. The evening was spent playing competitions, dancing, and community singing. A* delicious supper was served. Those present were Mr. and Mrs B. Lincoln; Misses I. Jackson, D. Rennie, P. Weeks. A. Wright, O. and G Lincoln, S. Martin, M. Milne, and M. Lockwood: Messrs. C. Nelson, D. Ellis, B. McHugh, R. Goodall. G. Smith (Hastings), P. Lindsay, T. Walters, A. Ross, and B. Ellis.
Mrs. H. Nelson is an inmate of the Cook Hospital.—Miss D. Seymour is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R -C Bartram.
