Chocolate In Stock: Price Question Raised
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.) — At question time in the House of Representatives today, Mr C. F. Skinner (Oppn., Buller), gave notice to ask the Minister of Industries and Commerce what steps he had taken in regard to action of some retailers, in increasing the price of chocolate in stock, although the higher price applied only to future purchases from the manufacturers. Mr Skinner quoted one manager as stating that it was unfair to the public to increase the price of chocolate already in stock, as these supplies were bought at the old wholesale prices. _
