Tribute To Late Minister
Representatives of the Westland Labour Representation Committee conducted a memorial ceremony at the graveside of the late Mr James O’Brien yesterday, which was the third anniversary of Mr O’Brien’s death.
Mr J. E. Laing, secretary of the committee, paid a tribute to the outstanding service given by the late Minister. Several wreaths .and floral tributes were laid at the graveside. A telegram was read from Mr and Mrs J. B. Kent. Mr J. Flaherty spoke on behalf of Mrs O’Brien, who was also at the graveside.
