N.Z. ROAD TITLE FOR 100 MILES

(P.A.) PALMERSTON N., October 17. The New Zealand senior road pycling championship on Saturday was won by A S. Mobberley (West Coast, North Island), whose time was shr 29min 4 4-ssec. L. Griffiths (Auckland) was second, shr 29min ssec; S. Howes (Wellington) third, shr 29min 5 l-ssec; and V. Westbury (Wellington) fourth, shr 29min 5 2-ssec. There were 15 starters in the 100 miles race. In the initial stages the race was a farce, riders taking their time in a bunch which was so slow that ordinary cyclists were able to keep abreast with them. This pace continued until the eighteenth lap. The junior championship, of 25 miles, resulted: —B. Grant (Auckland)lhr Bmin 24 l-ssec, 1; R. B. Hodkinson (Auckland), Ihr Bmin 24 3-ssec, 2; J.
