THREE BURGLARIES AT AUCKLAND

(P.AJ AUCKLAND, This Day. About £lOO in cash was stolen from a safe in the office of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association’s club rooms. Queen's Arcade, between last night and this morning. From a fire escape the burglars smashed a kitchen window. They hacked a hole nine inches square in the safe. Thieves, without forcing doors or windows, entered the offices occupied by the Government Valuation Department in the IZB building, Durham street, and stole £77 in cash from a safe. A ring of keys found in a drawer included the safe key. From the premises of Frank M. Winstone, Merchants, Ltd., Customs street, burglars stole a silver-plated tea set and a typewriter valued at £B2.
