GOLF MISS BLAIR AND MRS THORPY LEADING IN CAULTON TROPHY
Mesdames Wilkins and Brown; with a score of 95-23-72, were winners of the second round of the Robertson-Neville foursome match for the Caulton Trophy played by the Greymouth Women’s Golf Club at Kaiata. Other good scores were returned by IVTiss Blair and Mrs Thorpy 98-22-76; Mrs A. K. Smith and Mrs Ryan 102-25-77 and Miss Taaffe and Miss Bond 107-29-<B. After two rounds the leading scores are: Miss Blair and Mrs Thorpy 148 net; Miss Taaffe and Mrs A. Smith 155; Miss Deere and Mrs Heaphy 155; Mrs Ryan and Mrs A. K. Smith 156, and Mrs Robertson and Mrs McKay 158 The Aumist L.G.U. medal match was won by Mrs Murdoch 95-18-77, on a count 'back from Mrs J. C. Smith 98-21-77, and Mrs Boustridge 113-36-77. The “hidden holes” match, for Mrs F. Jones’s trophy, W'is won by Mrs J. C. Smith. Club Championships
The first round of the club championships has been completed and results are as follows: — Senior—Mrs Hooper beat Mrs Wilkins 7 and 6; Miss Blair beat Miss King 1 up; Mrs Hannan beat Miss Deere 4 and 3; Mrs Robertson beat Mrs Munich 5 and 3. Intermediate. —Mrs J. C. Smith beat Mis A.' K. Smith 3 and 2; Miss Munson beat Mrs Thorpy 2 up; Miss Taaffe beat Mrs Ryan 4 and 2; Mrs Hutchison beat Mrs Chivers 5 and 4 Junior.—Mrs Batty beat Mrs McKane 1 up; Miss Hay-MacKenzie beat Mrs Kitchingham 3 and 7; Mrs Bluett beat Mrs Logan 5 and 3: Mrs A. Smith beat Mrs Brown 3 and 2.
