OBITUARY Mr A. W. E. McNeill

The death occurred yesterday at the Westland Hospital, Hokitika, of Mr Archibald William Edward McNeill, after a brief illness. He x was aged 68. Born in Kumara he was engaged in the gold-mining industry in the Kumara and Stafford districts until about 25 years ago when he went to Ruatapu to work in the sawmilling industry. . .... Mr McNeill is survived by his wile, five daughters, Mrs S. Murtha (Hokitika), Mrs W. Butcher and Misses Ellen, Patricia and Mary'McNeill (Ruatapu) and four sons, John, Kevin, Archibald and Stephen McNeill (all of Ruatapu). He is also survived by one sister, Mrs R. Murtha (Awatuna).
