British Retailers’ Offer To The Government
(Rec. 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 16. British retail distributors have answered Sir Stafford Cripps’s plea for’reduced prices and profits with an offer to bear the £30,000,000 cost if the Government agreed to cut purchase taxes by 50 per cent.
