BASKETBALL Technical Old Girls’ Club To Field Four Teams
A decision to enter four teams in this season’s competitions was reached at last evening’s annual meeting of the Technical Old Girls’ Basketball Club. There was an attendance of 26 members and players. The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr W. Stewart; vice-presi-dents, ten elected; joint secretarytreasurer, Misses J. Blackie and B. Stirling. Arrangements are in hand to commence practice as soon as possible and preparations are being made to hold the first game at an early date. Blaketown Club Holds Annual Meeting The annual meeting of the Blaketown Basketball Club was held last evening, there being a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted: — Patroness, Mrs T. Russell; president, Mr M. K. B. Sheard; vice-presidents, ten elected; committee, Mesdames M. Hickling, J. Tomlinson, J. McLean, N. Nelson, A. Affleck and Misses L. Bailey, M. Longstaff, C. McGuire, P. Cairney, and J. Knox; delegates to the West Coast Association, Mrs J. Tomlinson and Miss L. Bailey; secretarytreasurer, Miss V. Rudd. Arrangements were made for practices to commence this evening.
