BOWLING COBDEN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
The final of the Cobden Women’s Bowling Club rinks championship was played yesterday, under favourable conditions. In a close game Mrs J. Stokes’s rink defeated. Mrs Alexander’s rink by 21 points to 19. The winning rink comprised Mesdames McMillan (lead), McGirr, Mountford and Stokes (s) and the runners-up were Mesdames Geary (lead), Alderson, Patterson and Alexander (s).
