SOUTH AFRICAN WAR VETERANS ASSEMBLE

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, This Day. More than 350 South African war veterans from all parts of the Dominion are assembled in Dunedin today for the 25th annual conference of the South African War Veterans Association of New Zealand . The Mayor, Mr D. C. Cameron, officially opening the conference, said that at a time when the pioneers of Otago were being honoured, it was appropriate that the pioneers of the New Zealand fighting forces overseas should meet in Dunedin. The conference concludes on Sunday with a parade through the city.
