CHOLERA OUTBREAKS
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 26. 8.0.A.C. announced that planes carrying anti-cholera drugs will leave Britain during the week-end for Cairo and Karachi. The supplies include 1,000,000 anti-cholera tabloids and two and a-half tons of vaccine for Egypt. ’■ Panic-stricken crowds mobbed clinics throughout Egypt where the country’s supply of anti-cholera vaccine is kept. There is only enough vaccine for 60,000 in the country with a population of 17,000, Urgent appeals were sent to Britain, the United States and South Africa for supplies.
