NO BRITISH TROOPS LANDED (Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 15. The British frigate, St. Bride’s Bay. which arrived at Tangier yesterday left for Gibraltar to-day. No troops were landed at Tangier which was quiet. A Gibraltar correspondent earlier quoted an unofficial report that British troops had gone to Tangier in the frigate to “protect British interests and reinforce the British consulate guard.” Title correspondent added that reports from Morocco suggested that a mass Moorish demonstration was contemplated yesterday, but was postponed. A huge demonstration is now expected this week simultaneously at Tangier and Tetuan.
