NEW SUPERIOR GENERAL ELECTED (Rec. 11 a.m.) ROME, Sept. 15. It is announced that the 57-year-old Belgian, Father Giovanni Battista Janssens, has-been elected the 27th Superior General of the Jesuit Order. Reuter says that the Superior General is known throughout the world as the “Black Pope,” because of the great authority attached, to his position. The Pope will give an audience to Father Janssens on Sept. 17. '
