LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MATCH ARRANGEMENTS
At a meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby League, last evening, it: was decided that no other fixtures be played on Sunday next, when the Aotea (Wellington) Maori team will play Blackball, at Blackball at 2.30. The curtain-raiser at 1.30 will be between the Blackball and Marist third grade teams. Mr ,T. Stokes presided, also present being Messrs A. Kyle, B. Ramsay, J. Anisy, J. Oakley, J. Kidd, J. Griffin, W. Meates, L. Hunter and P. E. Sweetman (secretary). The following will represent the West Coast against Wellington at Wellington on August 28: J. Newton, R. Clarke, R. Merriman, R. Hobbs, P. Coll, P. Mountford, M. Ord, J. McNaughton, C. Mountford, A. Jamieson, W. Mann, P .Mulcare, R. Nuttall, G. Lee and Kirk. Mr J. Stokes will be manager and Mr J. Dodds coach. Any players unable to make the trip are to notify the secretary immediately.
The following team has been selected to play Canterbury for the Norman Cox Memorial Cup, at Greymouth on August 28: Mulcare (Marist), Meates (Marist), Morressey (Marist), Batey (Brunner), Dunn (Marist), Jolly (Brunner), Eder (Brunner), Crookes (Marist), Hunter (Runanga), Quatq (Runang'a-), Pendlebury (Runanga), Williams (Marist), McGougan (Blackball), Dutton (Runanga.,), Brown (Marist), Malloy (Marist), McFarlane (Brunner). These are to attend a practice at Victoria Park on Saturday at 1.30 p.m.
