RUGBY FOOTBALL
WEST COAST UNION The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union was held, last evening, Mr A. A. Adams presiding. In view of the Air Force (Christchurch) team being unable to play in Greymouth next Saturday, it was decided to devote the proceeds of the match on that day to the Patriotic Committee. The Linwood (Christchurch) Club advised that their side would play at .Hokitika on Saturday. The Celtic Club and the team manager, Mr Clifford, were col l _ gratulated on the success of the side in Christchurch. Fixtures for Saturday are:— Senior: Linwood (Christchurch) v. Hokitika at Hokitika; Cobden v. The Rest, Park No. 1, 3 p.m. (J. Minchin). Third grade: Celtic v. Tech, (final and first game in new competition), Park No. 1, 1.30 p.m. (C. Cockburn); Cobden v. Blaketown (new competition)), Park No. 1, 1.30 p.m. (Rev. E. O. Harding). Fourth grade: Blaketown v. Tech A, Tech, ground, 1.30 p.m.: Tech B v. Tech C, Tech, ground, 3 p.m. (N. Eggelt on).
