WON BY AUSTRALIAN. LONDON, February 13. Lieutenant-Colonel Graves Wright Anderson, M.C., an Australian, has been awarded the Victoria Cross. Lieutenant-Colonel Anderson, with a small force, after destroying ten enemy tanks during the fighting in Malaya, was cut off by the Japanese. He forced his way through with his men for 15 miles, when he was again surrounded. He then went another eight miles and had to make his way back as best he could.
