WEST COAST TEAM. iSeveral changes have had to be made in the West Coast team, which is to play Canterbury at Christchurch to-morrow. Sherratt. (Star) replaces Innes (injured), Hammond (Star) replaces. Kirkwood (not available) and Birchfield (Cobden) replaces Blair (not available). The announcement that Jordan was to replace Nolan (injured) as emergency back was made on Wednesday. Gilman, and Thomson (Kiwi) are emergency forwards. The team will leave by the rail-car this evening. LOSS ON AUSTRALIAN TOUR SYDNEY, September 7. The cancellation of the Australian Rugby Union’s tour of Britain is estimated to incur a loss of more than £7OOO. This loss will be borne by the Home unions.
